Arsenal are assessing the transfer market ahead of the summer window
Premier League leaders Arsenal have their work on the pitch far from done as we approach the business end of the season, with the Gunners still on to win as many as four trophies if all goes to plan.
Silverware is demanded at this stage of the club’s project and will be their full focus. Off the pitch, though, preparations are beginning for the summer transfer window with early speculation linking the Gunners with players across the continent.
Arsenal target Bundesliga wonderkid in £61m summer move
As per reports by Caught Offside relaying information from Spain, Arsenal are targeting Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane and are ‘intensifying their pursuit’ of the 19-year-old ahead of rival suitors such as Chelsea and Newcastle United.
Kofane played 90 minutes of both legs against Arsenal in the Champions League and forced David Raya into a stunning late save to preserve the Gunners’ clean sheet at the Emirates. The Cameroon international has enjoyed a rapid rise to stardom having only made his professional debut in January 2025, earning a summer move to Leverkusen where he has already bagged seven goals and eight assists in his first season playing in the top five leagues.
Reporting states that the Bundesliga outfit might demand as much as €70million (£61m) for their young gem amid growing interest from England, while the Gunners are thought to value his vast potential and raw physical attributes. Any move is still in its ‘early stages’ but Arsenal are thought to be weighing up a big-money move for Kofane, which could see the Gunners future-proof their strike-force for years to come.
