Browns predicted to trade up for star receiver.

The Cleveland Browns have plenty of draft picks in the 2026 NFL Draft to get aggressive and move up.

Armed with two first-round picks, including the sixth overall pick, Cleveland can address several needs. The Browns are widely expected to draft an offensive lineman at sixth overall, but could go in a bunch of different directions with the 24th overall pick.

Yet, NFL analyst Chad Reuter of NFL.com predicts Cleveland will trade with the Los Angeles Chargers to 22nd overall to jump the Philadelphia Eagles to select star receiver Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State.

“Cleveland doesn’t wait around to see if Philadelphia chooses Tyson, swapping fourth-round picks with the Chargers and sending a fifth-rounder to compete the deal,” Reuter wrote in his latest mock draft. “Tyson’s the most explosive receiver in the class and could turn out to be the biggest playmaker if healthy.”

Tyson would immediately come in and bolster the Browns’ offense and be a true No. 1 receiver. Cleveland is looking for help at receiver, as Jerry Jeudy is the team’s No. 1 receiver, but he is better as a No. 2 or No. 3.

Tyson recorded 61 receptions for 711 yards and 8 touchdowns last season at Arizona State. Yet, his best season came two years ago when the Sun Devils made the playoffs as he recorded 75 receptions for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns, showing he can be a true No. 1 receiver.

Browns GM Likes WR Room

Despite Cleveland’s passing offense struggling last season, general manager Andrew Berry said he likes the receiver room.

Berry believes there’s lots to build on, but does think he can add something at receiver.

“I think we can add all across the offense to be honest,” Berry said. “We’re really pleased with some of the younger players we have. Jerry is gonna be a big part of it. And we’re pleased with Isaiah’s (Bond) rookie year. But that doesn’t mean we can’t add to the arsenal. Malachi (Corley), he carved out a nice role.”

However, as of right now, the Browns have yet to make any additions at receiver. Yet, Cleveland could very well use multiple picks on receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cleveland has eight total picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cleveland Mocked to Select OL With 6th Overall Pick

With Reuter mocking the Browns to trade up for Tyson, he has Cleveland addressing the offensive line with the sixth overall pick.

Reuter has the Browns taking Georgia Bulldogs offensive tackle Monroe Freeling at sixth overall to address the left tackle position.

“Cleveland’s O-line needs are strong enough to take a chance on Freeling’s upside at left tackle,” Reuter wrote. “He was not particularly smooth during on-field drills at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he has the athleticism and length to be a long-time starter.”

Cleveland needed to overhaul the offensive line as all five starters were free agents. The Browns did trade for Tytus Howard to start at right tackle and signed Zion Johnson and Elgton Jenkins to bolster the interior.

The 2026 NFL Draft is set for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
