Everton have poked fun at Liam Rosenior on X (previously known as Twitter) after thrashing his Chelsea side 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
A double from Beto and an exquisite goal by Iliman Ndiaye means Rosenior – who complimented Everton before the game – has now suffered four defeats in a row at Chelsea, plunging his position into real doubt.
Not only did Everton fans chant “sacked in the morning” towards the Londoner, but the Toffees themselves opted to pile on and mock the Chelsea boss.

Everton aim dig at Liam Rosenior for “respecting the ball” comment
As you may have seen, Chelsea recently made headlines for doing their pre-match huddle around Paul Tierney ahead of a 1-0 loss to Newcastle.
It was a bizarre moment, which Rosenior tried to explain away by strangely saying: “My players made the decision that they wanted to be around the ball, to respect the ball and show unity and leadership.”
In light of those odd comments, Everton have now posted an image of Jake O’Brien holding the ball during the 3-0 win over Chelsea along with the caption: “Respecting the ball”.

The post only adds to what was a truly intimidating atmosphere for Chelsea on Merseyside on Saturday evening.
Everton fans booed Chelsea supporters as soon as the away section opened their mouths during the 3-0 win, and also chanted passionately against the Premier League after the west Londoners were ridiculously let off without a points deduction for severe financial breaches.
