With Johnson (shoulder) unavailable to play, Kuminga is set to step up for Atlanta against Golden State.
The Atlanta Hawks will miss the absence of their franchise star this weekend.
Atlanta Hawks / Schedule
Welcoming the Golden State Warriors on their home floor, the Hawks have ruled out Jalen Johnson due to left shoulder inflammation.
Johnson will not play in the team's second night of back-to-back outings, and Jonathan Kuminga is slated to draw major minutes upon his absence.
Kuminga will face the Warriors for the first time since their embattled break-up ahead of last month's NBA trade deadline this season. He didn't play in the Hawks' 117-95 brutal Friday loss in Houston against the Rockets.
The young forward has appeared in six games so far in Atlanta. He is averaging 14.8 points in nearly 57 percent shooting with 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
