By playing his 1,612th career appearance on Saturday against the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is the new league record holder for most regular-season games in NBA history.

He has now surpassed Robert Parish's 1,611 games played.

James initially tied the Hall of Famer's record last Thursday against the Miami Heat, logging 38 minutes and dropping a triple-double of 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists to help the Lakers' 134-126 victory.

Parish's record stood for nearly 30 years. He earned the record after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 1,561 games in 1996.

Beyond games played, James is now the NBA's all-time leader in points, minutes played, field goals made and field goals attempted.

In his 23rd NBA season — also an NBA all-time high — James continues to defy Father Time. He now appeared in 50 games, averaging 21.3 points, 6.9 assists and 5.8 rebounds.
