Doncic sent the dismissal request to the Superior Court of Los Angeles on Friday. ESPN has confirmed the news.
Earlier this month, reports broke out that Goltes sought child support and attorney fees for her two children with Doncic in California. Doncic then revealed that he broke up with his longtime partner.
An ESPN report uncovered the messy breakup and custody battle between Doncic and Goltes. Doncic visited the birth of Olivia, their youngest, in Slovenia last December and asked Goltes to allow him to bring Gabriela when he returns to Los Angeles. Dispute ignited as Goltes called for police presence, but authorities found nothing offensive on the superstar's end.
Doncic peacefully flew back to LA and rejoined the Lakers. He hasn't seen his kids since then.
The 27-year-old filed an interim injunction with the Slovenian courts last month, seeking immediate contact with Gabriela and Olivia.
Doncic is going strong in his second season as the Lakers' lead man. Entering Saturday's clash against the Orlando Magic, he is averaging an NBA-high 33.4 points with 8.4 assists and 7.9 rebounds.
