Luka Doncic might miss Lakers game vs. Pistons after disciplinary twist

Luka Doncic could miss the Los Angeles Lakers' next game after being called for a technical foul against the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin explained that if this technical foul is not rescinded, it would be Doncic's 16th and would cost him a one-game suspension.

"Luka Doncic is called for a technical foul with 1:19 to go in the 3rd Q, along with Goga Bitadze," McMenamin wrote on his X account. "If the tech is not rescinded after the game, it will be his 16th and will cost him a one-game suspension when LAL plays in DET on Monday."

Lakers edge Magic 105-104 on Kennard's last-second 3-pointer as LeBron sets games played record

Los Angeles defeated Orlando 105-104 on Saturday. Doncic was the most impactful player in the game, with 33 points. He was joined by Austin Reaves, who scored 26, and Luke Kennard, who added 13 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with just 2.6 seconds remaining.

LeBron James scored 12 points and used the opportunity to surpass Robert Parish to become the NBA's all-time leader in games played.

Paolo Banchero made two free throws with 50 seconds left, Reaves responded with a layup, and Desmond Bane missed a difficult shot that would have sealed it. A chaotic finish.

In the final sequence, Marcus Smart found LeBron on the wing, and Banchero blocked what could have been the game-tying play, but with 2.6 seconds on the clock, the Lakers inbounded again and found Luke Kennard completely alone for the 3-pointer that made it 105-104, the final score.
