NFL free agency isn’t always about the biggest current stars. Sometimes, it could mean reunions between franchises and former icons who have been out of the game.
The New York Giants have an opportunity to do just that this offseason. At a Fanatics fan event on Saturday, former Giants superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. once again fueled rumors about his return to the big city. While talking to NFL analyst Kay Adams, Beckham was asked about potentially playing with Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.
"That sounds great," Beckham said about the idea. "If that opportunity presents itself, I would love to do that. Would be excited about that. He's a good dude, he likes to dance, I like all that."
Beckham hasn’t suited up for an NFL game since 2024, when he played nine games for the Miami Dolphins. Now 33 years old, Beckham’s best days are clearly behind him, but a reunion in New York could benefit both sides, especially as Dart enters his second season as a pro.
This isn’t the first time the former All-Pro has teased a comeback with the Giants. Last June, he posted photos to his Instagram of himself sitting with his son outside of MetLife Stadium, where the Giants play their home games. The Giants have remained quiet about any rumors of a return for Beckham, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen in the future.

Beckham caught a touchdown on Saturday in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, which is littered with NFL stars. He’s hoping the event could serve as an audition of sorts to interested teams, and a chance to prove he’s still got what it takes.
Beckham has played for the Giants, Browns, Rams, Ravens and Dolphins. He has five 1,000-yard seasons, and he is a three-time Pro Bowler and former Offensive Rookie of the Year. There has not been any reported interest by teams in signing Beckham to a deal, despite his desire to continue to play.
