LOS ANGELES — Despite a brief dustup, Tom Brady found time to give Logan Paul his flowers.
During the Fanatics Flag Football Classic on Saturday, Brady's team, the Founders FFC, was eliminated from the round-robin tournament by Paul's Wildcats FFC. Wildcats eventually lost to Team USA's flag football team, who ran roughshod on the best the NFL had to offer.

"I'll say this; He impressed me out there," Brady told reporters after Team USA defeated Paul and the Wildcats in the final game of the afternoon. Despite the two being involved in a brief back-and-forth earlier in the tournament, Brady made sure to give the WWE star credit.
"And I think that he's, and obviously some of the coaches that were coaching him said how seriously he was taking it and how he just wanted to learn and be a sponge to go out there and do a great job," Brady continued.
"And, you know, to watch what he and his brother have done, I really — there's a little tit-for-tat stuff — but I do have respect for people that are really driven to succeed."

He added: "And, you know, I'm a firm believer that you don't wait for things to happen. You make it you make it happen. And if you want positive things to happen in your life, you go for it. You're fearless, and you don't settle for a backup plan. And he really displayed that today."
Brady's compliments came after the two had a moment to talk, following Paul's Wildcat FFC team's defeat of Brady's Founder's team. As the two were chatting at the conclusion of the game, Brady was overheard telling Paul: "You did good, I did great."
The two then continued to playfully exchange words before the 48-year-old relented and declared that Paul "did great" when he was on the field, despite Brady's performance in his return.

Despite the exchange of kind words, Paul's comments prior to the event were less than kind. The WWE star even called out Brady to see how well the NFL legend could fight.
He stated: "He's very hard to talk smack to because he truly is the GOAT, but when Tom Brady is talking about anything involving fighting, kicking a--, doing anything remotely impressive that doesn't have to do with throwing a football, he's out of his league. The guys are out of his league."

"I kick a-- for a living — they play with balls — and if Tom wants to come into the WWE ring or [Rob Gronkowski] or anyone any of these players, they will meet their maker and I'm not just saying that they will meet their maker.
"I can go on this field and have fun and if they want to challenge me to a fight, that's fine But they're gonna get their a---- kick either way."
