Manchester City are looking to secure their first piece of silverware of the season this afternoon when they take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final. The Blues had a difficult week having drawn to West Ham last weekend before losing to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
However, beating Arsenal at Wembley could turn the momentum and add a niggling doubt into the minds of the Gunners. City also benefit from a mostly fit squad heading into the final. Savinho, John Stones and Rico Lewis all returned to the matchday squad against Real in midweek.
With this in mind, MEN Sport has taken a look at the injury news ahead of the game.
Max Alleyne
Injury: Knock
Alleyne travelled to Madrid last week but was not in the squad at West Ham or in the home fixture against Real. He was called up for the England U21s on Friday, suggesting the defender is fit, just not in the team.
Potential return date: March 22 vs Arsenal
Erling Haaland
Injury: Fatigue
Haaland was substituted midway through the second half while City were chasing the game. This raised some eyebrows and led Pep Guardiola to be asked in his post-match press conference whether the striker was injured. City's boss insisted the Norwegian was fit and confirmed in his pre-match press conference he is ready to go.
Potential return date: March 22 vs Arsenal
Josko Gvardiol
Injury: Leg
Gvardiol is a long-term absentee for City having fractured his leg in the January draw with Chelsea. The defender is in a race against the clock to be back before the end of the season and this summer's World Cup.
Potential return date: May/June
