Chelsea’s ambitious summer recruitment plans are currently teetering on a knife-edge, as Liam Rosenior faces the daunting task of salvaging a Champions League spot.
The defeat to Everton has signalled a shift in the Chelsea fan base, with boos heard at full-time from the away end for one of the first times since Liam Rosenior was appointed.
Nobody can blame them after such a poor performance. Robert Sanchez made yet another error and there was no flow with the Chelsea play, struggling to conjure up any real chances.
Estevao Willian looked the brightest of the lot, but he only came on for the last 20 minutes.
Most of the players can be blamed for their on-field performances, but ultimately, it’s the manager who is judged on his performances during the season.
Should Chelsea sack Liam Rosenior? Or are the players to blame?🤔

Chelsea’s stance on Liam Rosenior after Everton defeat
According to Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea still expects Liam Rosenior to be able to secure Champions League football, which was always the target this season.
It is stated that Chelsea have not changed their target.
Rosenior was expected to bring stability post Enzo Maresca and the expectation remains that he qualifies for the Champions League.
It’s a risky game that Chelsea are playing. They could be in a situation where Champions League qualification gets missed and then they make the decision to get rid of him anyway, wasting months.
What do you make of Wesley Fofana in a Chelsea shirt? Is he good enough?🤔

Chelsea’s upcoming run of fixtures
Chelsea faces a brutal make-or-break spring that will decide the fate of Liam Rosenior’s project.
Following the international break, the Blues return to action on April 4th with a must-win FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale, a match that serves as their only remaining path to domestic silverware.
However, the real test lies in the Premier League, where they host title-contenders Manchester City and top-four rivals Manchester United in back-to-back home games, followed by a difficult trip to Brighton and a season-ending clash at Anfield against Liverpool.
Depending on what happens in those games, things could get interesting. But Jamie O’Hara believes Chelsea aren’t sacking Rosenior due to the length of his contract, which could run for six years total.
