Ashley Cole shows Liam Rosenior how it's done as Everton tease Chelsea on social media

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is enduring a horrible time of it at the moment, and that was made even worse on Saturday against Everton. In contrast, Ashley Cole secured his first win as Cesena manager.

A 3-0 hammering at Everton was just what the doctor didn’t order, after a week that included big injuries to Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah, a Premier League fine and an 8-2 hammering to PSG in Europe.

Beto scored twice, and Iliman Ndiaye got the other as David Moyes’ side climbed to just two points off Chelsea in sixth. The only silver lining for Chelsea is that Man United and Liverpool both dropped points.

What has happened to Cole Palmer under Liam Rosenior?

He was nowhere to be seen against Everton 👎

There are plenty of ex-Chelsea managers performing well at the moment. Frank Lampard at Coventry, Cesc Fabregas at Como, while Filipe Luis is close to becoming Cruzeiro boss. Add Ashley Cole to that list.

Chelsea icon Cole was appointed Cesena manager earlier this week, his first foray into management, taking over a club in Italy’s second tier. On Saturday, Cesena took on Alberto Aquilani’s Catanzaro.

With Cole looking to emulate the climb Fabregas has made by starting in Italy’s Serie B, the legendary left-back watched his new side come from behind to beat Catanzaro 3-1, a side sitting in fifth place.

A massive win, his first victory as Cesena manager, with Cole now becoming just another of the up-and-coming young managers with a Chelsea past to shine in the dugout. Cole’s side now sit in eighth.

If the defeat was bad and Cole’s debut win likely to be viewed with jealousy by Rosenior, Everton took it even further and teased the under-pressure Chelsea boss on social media, after his huddle comments.

Amid the furore of Paul Tierney standing in the middle of the huddle prior to Chelsea’s 1-0 home loss to Newcastle, Everton’s social media team jumped on the opportunity. They teased the Blues at full-time.

Chelsea are becoming a laughing stock under Rosenior 😑

Embarrassing.

Posting a picture of Everton defender Jake O’Brien with the ball under his shirt during the game, the Toffees’ posted a caption of “respecting the ball”. Rosenior’s explanation for the huddle around the ball.

Not only are Chelsea struggling for form under Rosenior, but he and the Chelsea team are becoming a laughing stock in English football. That’s now one win in six Premier League games, losing three times.
