Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has added insult to injury for his former employers, taking to X to celebrate Everton’s 3-0 demolition of Chelsea with a pointed caption.
Arriving at Chelsea from Leicester City for £30 million in the summer of 2024 to reunite with Enzo Maresca, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was initially viewed as an anchor for the new system.
However, despite his reputation, Dewsbury-Hall struggled to displace a congested midfield featuring Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. Frequently relegated to a cup specialist role, he found his most consistent minutes in the Conference League rather than the Premier League.
By the time he was sold to Everton for £25 million in 2025, his departure was framed as a necessary, pure profit move to balance the books.
Since he’s moved to Everton, an air of regret may have slipped in at Stamford Bridge after seeing him score six and assist five in all competitions.
Should Chelsea sack Liam Rosenior? Or are the players to blame?🤔

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall enjoyed that Everton win
Talking on his personal X account, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall posted an image of him battling with Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro, captioned with ‘Enjoyed tha!’.
Dewsbury-Hall recently claimed that Chelsea should regret selling him to Everton.
“But if you were to ask me, I know for a fact I could have gone in there and played regularly and made a real impact because I mean, like you said the games I played, I managed to play well and score important goals.”
And his performance won’t have made Chelsea feel any better.
Dewsbury-Hall had 60 touches, a passing accuracy percentage of 78, seven passes into the final third, four tackles, five recoveries, one clearance, won a game-high nine duels and was fouled once (FotMob).
