LeBron on Lakers' game-winning three: 'I knew that it will be cash'

LeBron James surpassed Robert Parish for the most games played in NBA history during the Lakers' win over the Magic. A late three-pointer by Luke Kennard sealed the victory, which keeps Los Angeles in third place in the Western Conference with 11 games remaining. James claims that he knew it will be a swish when he saw the play.

Los Angeles Lakers managed to beat the Orlando Magic in Florida with a final-second dagger three by Luke Kennard.

Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule

This game will be remembered with LeBron James playing his 1.612th match in the league, breaking an all-time record previously held by Robert Parish.

James contributed to the win with 12 points on 5/13 shooting, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

James noted that he was optimistic about the team winning when he saw that Kennard was about to shoot for the win:

"When I turned and saw who was with the ball in his hands for a wide open three, I pretty much knew that it was cash," James said.

"Obviously you got to see that ball through, and I had a super quick reaction after it knowing that they have no timeouts left to get back on defense and put our hands up," he concluded.

Lakers are now 3rd in the Western Conference with a 46-25 record, with 11 more games to go.
