The Blues reached a new low on Saturday evening as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Chelsea have now lost four games in a row in all competitions, and remain sixth in the league with just seven games remaining.

Alan Shearer on what Chelsea need to do to compete

Liam Rosenior has come under fire, and it looks evident the players don’t believe in his ideas, and he can’t get a tune out of the group.

Chelsea once again looked all over the place defensively and haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league since the win against Brentford on 17th January.

Wesley Fofana had a really poor game, whilst Robert Sanchez made a poor mistake for Everton’s second goal, and Shearer believes the Blues won’t compete until they address those positions.

“They [Chelsea] haven’t got a top class goalkeeper, and they haven’t got a top class centre half despite the money that they’ve spent, and until they get that, they’re not going to compete,” he told BBC Match of The Day.

Chelsea face huge summer transfer window

The Blues were very quiet in January, but they are once again expected to be active in the summer window with a number of positions needing to be addressed.

Chelsea are said to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst they reportedly want another midfielder and attacker.
