Manchester City fans heading to Wembley Stadium for the have been dealt major travel disruption following a crash on the M1.
City face the Gunners in north London at 4:30pm this afternoon but supporters making their way southbound down the M1 have been hit with gridlocked traffic after a crash 1.9 miles from the Wembley turn-off. According to the Daily Mail, the crash has been described as a 'pile-up' with cars at a standstill and it's preventing some City fans from turning off Junction 1 and joining the A406 North Circular to the stadium.
Meanwhile, footage has also emerged on social media showing a coach on fire, with City supporters being told to avoid using the route that takes the M6 toll at Birmingham. It's unknown, at this stage, how long the disruption is due to last with City fans, who have travelled more than 150 miles from the north, keen to get to Wembley in plenty of time before kick-off.
As for the game itself, City are hoping to claim the first piece of major silverware this season with winning the competition on four previous occasions before.
They are, however, looking to return to winning ways after losing out to Real Madrid in the on Tuesday and failing to win any of their last three matches across all competitions.
But, speaking in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola is confident his side can beat Arsenal and win the Carabao Cup. "I have the feeling in many things we're just underneath [our peak]," the Spaniard said on Friday.

"We will flourish, I have the feeling that it’s close. Other things we need a little more time until the people realise what we need to be strong in many departments but in most things we are close."
With City still in the and battling for the title, there is a chance that Guardiola's side could end up with three trophies come the end of the campaign.
"That’s why I have the feeling we are close [to our best]," Guardiola added, when asked about the prospect of still claiming several pieces of silverware this season. Maybe for the type of players that we have, what we really need is to be consistent for 11 months and in important games. As much for the quality of the players that we have, the gap is still not close but in many aspects we are extraordinary.
"Otherwise we wouldn’t be top eight in the Champions League, we would not be second in the Premier League, in the final of the Carabao Cup, the quarter-finals in the FA Cup, we wouldn’t be there in nine months. When we won a lot in the past, always I know what we need exactly and in many things we just need a little bit more time."
