LA big man reaches rare milestone no one else has

Brook Lopez made NBA history in the Clippers win over the Mavericks, becoming the only player to reach 18,000 points, 2,000 blocks, and 1,000 three-pointers.

Brook Lopez reached a major career milestone during the Los Angeles Clippers game against the Dallas Mavericks, adding another chapter to his long NBA journey.

The veteran big man became just the tenth player in league history to record 18,000 points and 2,000 blocks. But Lopez did something even more unique. He is now the only player ever to combine 18,000 points, 2,000 blocks, and 1,000 three-pointers.

Lopez finished the game with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while also knocking down two shots from deep. It was a solid all-around performance that matched the historic night.

The big man is known for changing his game over the years. Early in his career, Lopez was a traditional center who played mostly in the paint. In his first eight NBA seasons, he attempted just 31 three-pointers. But later, he added a three-point shot and became one of the better floor spacing bigs in the league.

The Clippers as a team are also trending up. After a slow 6-21 start, they turned things around and now hold a 34-36 record. They currently sit in ninth place, inside the play-in zone, ahead of the Golden State Warriors.

This season, Lopez has played 64 games, averaging 7.7 points and 3.2 rebounds. He is shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from three-point range.
