Promotion to Division 1 requires a lot to go right elsewhere for Louth buy they are keeping up their side of the bargain with a scintillating first-half display on the road against Kildare.
Despite losing defenders Eoghan Callaghan and Dermot Campbell inside ten minutes (and only togging out 24 players), Gavin Devlin's men have been much the better side and a scoring blitz before the break leaves them 0-17 to 0-10 ahead.
Kildare's kick-out is malfunctioning while Tommy Durnin and Conor Early have dominated the skies for the defending Leinster SFC champions, and Ciarán Keenan is ripping it up in attack.

HERE’S THE LOUTH TEAM:
Louth’s slender hopes of promotion lie on defeating Kildare and hoping at least one of Meath or Cork slip up. The Wee County line out with Niall McDonnell in goals and plenty of experience in full-back Dermot Campbell with half-back Dara McDonnell. Tommy Durnin forms a midfield pairing with Conor Early. Captain Sam Mulroy togs out in the half-forwards behind full-forwards Ciaran Keenan, Conall McCaul and Kieran McArdle:
KILDARE’S TEAM TODAY:
The Lilywhites will be desperate for victory and hope Cavan slip up to stay in Division 2. Kildare continue with Cian Burke between the sticks and Harry O’Neill at full-back. The experienced Ben McCormack lines out at left half-back behind Callum Bolton and Brendan Gibbons in midfield. Alex Beirne remains in the half-forward line with Darragh Kirwan, whileBrian McLoughlin and Ben Loakman start in the full-forward ranks:
