Arch Manning is entering what is expected to be his final year of college football with the Texas Longhorns before he declares for the 2027 NFL Draft, where he is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick if he continues his trajectory from the end of the 2025 campaign.
But the college world won’t be long without a Manning quarterback at the helm, as Peyton Manning‘s son, Marshall, will be taking Arch’s place in a few years.
Although only 14 and just beginning his high school journey at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the next in line for the Manning football dynasty is already showing the footwork and arm that could make him as elite a prospect as Arch when it’s time for him to declare for a program.
While Tennessee Volunteers fans are already getting their Marshall Manning jerseys ready, hoping that the son follows in his father’s footsteps, a new video of the young heir has some fans frazzled.
In a new clip uploaded of Marshall working on his footwork, he is wearing a shirt of a college program — but it’s not the Volunteers.
Nor is it the Longhorns.
Or even Eli Manning’s Ole Miss Rebels.
It’s the Virginia Cavaliers.
While that might seem strange to some fans who instantly connect Peyton to Tennessee, there’s a reason behind Marshall’s UVA shirt.
His mother, Ashley, was a Cavalier and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1997.
So while Tennessee fans will be confident until the day Marshall chooses where he goes to school, don’t overlook the Manning family’s ties to Virginia as well.
