Manchester City have won the 2026 Carabao Cup after beating Arsenal 2-0 in the final. A second-half Nico O'Reilly brace sealed the triumph, with the homegrown City star one of many that will receive medals under the famous Wembley arch.

James Trafford, Matheus Nunes, Nathan Ake, Abdukodir Khusanov, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo, Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland, as the 10 other starting players, will also be given medals.

The eight substitutes, which included Gianluigi Donnarumma, Phil Foden, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Mateo Kovacic, Nico Gonzalez, Omar Marmoush, Savinho and Tijjani Reijnders, will also pick up medals on the day.

However, there are another 10 available to the club which they can dish out at their own discretion, and if they want to hand out more beyond that number, that is allowed but with an added cost.

The EFL rule 20.2 on the awarding of medals states: "In addition to the Cup, the Management Committee shall present thirty souvenirs to the winning Club in the Final Tie; and thirty souvenirs to the losing Club in the Final Tie. Additional souvenirs may be presented with the consent of the Management Committee but shall be at the cost of the requesting Club."

Despite that, Marc Guehi will not be eligible for a medal due to a rule change that was introduced this season. It states that players can now represent two clubs in the competition, but only if the transfer is completed before the semi-final first leg.

City beat Newcastle United in the first meeting six days before Guehi joined, which means he cannot be officially given one.

Injured defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias can both be handed medals, however, even with the latter not playing one single minute in the competition.

Max Alleyne played three Carabao Cup matches this season, with one on loan at Watford and two for City when he was recalled in January.

That decision was made one week before the trip to Newcastle, which makes him eligible for a medal. Jaden Heskey and Reigan Heskey were other youngsters who appeared for City, with the duo getting minutes in their third round victory over Huddersfield.

Kaden Brathwaite and Stephen Mfuni were unused substitutes for that game but will also be eligible. Rico Lewis, Kalvin Phillips and Divine Mukasa have also been selected in this competition by Guardiola.

Oscar Bobb and Charlie Gray were others involved as they both played in the quarter-final victory over Brentford - though the latter will unlikely get one given his January move to Fulham. For players involved, City are likely to be just under the amount of medals made, but they can ask for more, as EFL rules state.
