Joe Burrow experienced a bit of a wardrobe malfunction in the middle of the inaugural Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

On Saturday, March 21, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback joined a few of his fellow NFL stars — including Jayden Daniels, Saquon Barkley and Odell Bekham Jr. — in facing off against the U.S. men’s national flag football team at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Near the end of the game, the 29-year-old player made an attempt to run for the endzone while his team, the FCC Wildcats, were down by two scores. But as he made his way across the field, one of his opponents yanked on his flag from behind and dragged his pants down.

In videos shared to social media, Burrow can be seen falling to the floor right before scoring with his black shorts pulled around his thighs, exposing the white fitness tights underneath.

While flag football players previously expressed concern about NFL players taking their spots on the Olympic flag football roster when the sport debuts at the 2028 Olympics, Team USA ultimately defeated Burrows’ Wildcats FFC 39-16 after crushing the Founders FFC — a team featuring Tom Brady, Jalen Hurts, Stefon Diggs and more — with a score of 43-16.

“I’ve always wanted to play in the Olympics,” Burrow said ahead of the Flag Football Classic, per the The Cincinnati Enquirer. “I’ve never necessarily played an Olympic sport before, so when this got announced, I was pretty excited about it.”

“The opportunity to win a gold medal [is] something that I’ve thought about — a moment like that — for a long time, since I was a kid,” he continued. “I think it would be something very special.”

Despite whether NFL players will have the potential to make the U.S. Olympic team in 2028, this wasn’t the first time that Burrow was pantsed in front of thousands of people.

A similar incident occurred in 2019 when he was playing against Mississippi State with his alma mater, Louisiana State University.

In video clips shared to social media at the time, Chauncey Rivers could be seen with a tight grip on the back of Burrow’s pants, exposing his bare bottom underneath until one of Burrow’s teammates stepped in to help pull Rivers off of him.

“No comment,” Burrow quipped to sportscaster Jacques Doucet after the incident. “I hear there’s a full moon out tonight in Starkville.”
