Luka Doncic suspension: NBA makes final call on 16th technical foul

The NBA has rescinded Doncic's 16th technical foul, allowing the Lakers superstar to evade an automatic one-game suspension.

The NBA has overturned the 16th technical foul of Luka Doncic in the Los Angeles Lakers' 105-104 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday, per ESPN's Shams Charania.

Accordingly, the league also rescinded Goga Bitadze's technical foul.

Doncic and Bitadze went at it and traded intense words during the final minute of the third quarter of the Lakers-Magic clash. Both players were subsequently handed technical fouls.

In his postgame presser, Doncic revealed that Bitadze threatened and used vulgarities toward his family, which prompted his aggressive approach. Meanwhile, Bitadze denied the allegations and claimed that Doncic started it by commenting on his mother.

For this, Doncic will still be able to play in the Lakers' huge matchup on Monday against the East-leading Detroit Pistons.

Only Dillon Brooks has served a one-game suspension so far this season upon meeting the league's 16 technical foul limits.
