Those who think Michael Jordan loves NASCAR more than the NBA got some more ammunition on Sunday.
Jordan, arguably the greatest NBA player of all-time, has looked happier than ever as a NASCAR team owner this season. His team, 23XI Racing, he been dominating the NASCAR Cup Series. Tyler Reddick, driver of the No. 45 car, has been shining at the top of the field in the Cup Series.
"I can't explain it, but despite winning 6 NBA titles, NASCAR seems to be the place where Michael Jordan loves winning the most. And he shows it on camera. And it's pretty (expletive) cool to watch," NASCAR reporter Tyson Winter shared on X.
"Used to plan Saturdays around watching him play. A killer. And the whole time he was probably thinking I can't wait to go start a NASCAR team 😂😂."
Jordan's smiles continued on Sunday.
His top driver, Tyler Reddick, took home the checkered flag at Darlington. Jordan was all smiles following the win.
Jordan is extremely pleased with his team so far
Jordan, who co-owns the team with Denny Hamlin, has been very proud of what he's done so far.
"I'm proud of the team we put together,"Â Jordan said following the third straight win, as he credited co-owner Denny Hamlin as being the "mastermind" behind its racing success.
"I just put up the money. Denny's done an incredible job building this team."
The 23XI Racing team has been arguably the sport's best so far this year, as Reddick has taken home four checkered flags.
It's highly impressive - and clearly something that Jordan is proud of.
