Kawhi Leonard had another big game for the Los Angeles Clippers the last time out. The seven-time All-Star led L.A. to a 138-131 overtime win against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, marking the Clippers' first win in three games.
Leonard went off for 34 points on 12-of-22 shooting. He also added three rebounds, five assists, two steals, a block and five triples in 36 minutes of action.
Leonard, however, has been in and out of the lineup for the Clippers of late. He's missed two out of their last four games. This includes his absence from Thursday's 105-99 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, which was the second night of a back-to-back set.
Leonard has been dealing with an ankle issue. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year has been playing through a left ankle sprain, and he is now in danger of missing the Clippers' next game.
L.A. is back in action on Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Clippers have submitted their injury report for the game, and Leonard has once again been included. The team announced that Leonard is officially questionable to play on Monday due to a left ankle sprain.
The silver lining here is that Leonard was also questionable heading into Saturday's win against Dallas. He was cleared to play and erupted for 34 points. Then again, it is the same ankle issue that kept him out of two of the last four games.
The Clippers enter Monday's matchup with a 35-36 record. As of writing, they are eighth in the Western Conference. The ninth-seeded Golden State Warriors, however, are just half a game behind them at this point.
