Miami Heat Make Norman Powell Announcement Before Spurs Game

On Monday evening, the Miami Heat will host the San Antonio Spurs in Florida.

The Heat are coming off a tough 123-122 loss to the Houston Rockets.

For Monday’s game, the Heat have announced that Powell will be listed as questionable.

Zachary Weinberger of ClutchPoints wrote: “Latest Heat injury report has Andrew Wiggins (toe) and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (hip) both upgraded to PROBABLE for tomorrow night vs. Spurs.

Norman Powell is QUESTIONABLE w/ left calf tightness.”

Powell is in the middle of his first season playing for Miami.

Last month, he made his first career All-Star Game.

Right now, the 32-year-old is averaging 22.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 47.3% from the field and 38.4% from three-point range in 52 games.

Powell’s NBA Career

Powell was the 46th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of UCLA.

He has also had stints with the LA Clippers, Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers over 11 seasons.

His career averages are 13.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field and 39.7% from three-point range in 669 games.
