The New England Patriots took a massive step in the right direction last season. After finishing the 2024 season at the bottom of the AFC East with a 4-13 record, the Patriots responded by having a 14-3 record this past campaign. They also went on a run during the playoffs, as they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and Denver Broncos. However, their magical run ended in the Super Bowl, as they lost to the Seattle Seahawks by a 29-13 final score.

Still, even with the Patriots’ heartbreaking finish to the season, they had a very successful year. However, even with how this past campaign went for the Patriots, they elected to release one of their most notable players from last season’s roster: star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Diggs appeared in 17 games during his lone season with the Patriots, where he had four touchdowns, 85 receptions, and 1,013 receiving yards. Now, at this stage of the offseason, the four-time Pro Bowler remains one of the top free agents available for the taking.

However, a new team has been named as a potential top landing spot for Diggs as we continue to get closer to April.

Former Patriots’ Stefon Diggs Named Prime Fit for Baltimore Ravens

In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Kristopher Knox named the best fits for some of the top remaining free agents available for the taking. Diggs understandably made the cut, as he is one of the top wide receivers left unsigned.

When it came to Diggs, one team that Knox notably mentioned as a strong fit for Diggs was the Baltimore Ravens.

“Diggs would be a perfect addition for the Baltimore Ravens, who tried to roll with veteran DeAndre Hopkins last year but got underwhelming results (330 yards, 2 TDs). Diggs would be a great go-to target for Lamar Jackson and a strong complement to Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman,” Knox wrote.

When looking at the Ravens’ current roster, it makes a lot of sense that they are being viewed as a prime landing spot for Diggs. There is no question that he would give their offense a significant boost, and he could thrive playing with a superstar quarterback like Jackson.

The Ravens undoubtedly should be looking to add another high-impact wide receiver, and Diggs is just that when he is performing at his best. With this, it would not be surprising in the slightest if the Ravens ended up making a major push for Diggs this offseason.

Former Patriots’ Diggs Should Have Multiple Suitors

With Diggs being one of the best free agents left, the Ravens would likely have competition for his services in free agency. Knox noted that the Tennessee Titans are one team that could make sense as a landing spot for Diggs. The Miami Dolphins have also been connected to Diggs this offseason, and it is understandable when looking at their group.

Nevertheless, it is going to be very interesting to see where Diggs ends up signing this offseason. It should not take the former Patriots star too much longer to find his new home.
