Titans, Ravens predicted to battle for former $63 million Patriots star receiver

The Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans are among the franchises that could use a receiving boost before the offseason concludes.

Luckily for them, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox believes both franchises will battle in free agency for a 32-year-old former New England Patriots star receiver.

“(Stefon) Diggs is back on the market after being released by the Patriots,” Knox wrote Saturday. “While he does carry a couple of potential red flags, he's also poised to help another contender go on a deep playoff run.”

“Diggs would be a perfect addition for the Baltimore Ravens, who tried to roll with veteran DeAndre Hopkins last year but got underwhelming results (330 yards, 2 TDs). Diggs would be a great go-to target for Lamar Jackson and a strong complement to Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.”

“The Tennessee Titans could also give Diggs a strong landing spot. Second-year quarterback Cam Ward could use more receiving help on the perimeter. New offensive coordinator Brian Daboll also previously coached Diggs with the Buffalo Bills.”

The Titans' receiving core was putrid in 2025-26, as Chig Okonkwo (tight end) led the organization with 56 receptions for 560 yards. Eric Ayomanor finished second with 41 receptions for 515 yards.

Yes, adding former New York Giants wideout Wan’Dale Robinson to the equation was a smart move. Still, it isn’t preposterous to suggest that Cam Ward needs more assistance heading into Year 2.

Diggs would provide Ward and the Titans with a dependable No. 1 receiver who uses his methodical route-running approach and high IQ in third-down/red-zone situations to find the soft spot in zone defenses and keep the chains moving (Diggs finished the 2025-26 season with 85 receptions for 1,013 receiving yards and four touchdowns).

The Ravens are in a similar situation: they need a standout receiver to pair with Zay Flowers and Batemon, and, most importantly, make life easier for Lamar Jackson. Could Diggs be that guy? Well, he’s likely among the best free agent options for the organization at this stage of the offseason.

It’ll be interesting to see where Diggs lands after getting released by the Patriots to start the month.
