Raiders free agency 2026: 5 things about Jalen Nailor

The Las Vegas Raiders signed [wide receiver Jalen Nailor last week](/las-vegas-raiders-news/124059/raiders-jalen-nailor-free-agent-wide-receiver). Let’s get to know him better:

**This is his big opportunity:**

Nailor has started 16 games in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings. He had 29 catches for 444 yards in 2025, both career highs. He is expected to be a bigger part of the receiving rotation in Las Vegas

**Overshadowed in Minnesota:**

Nailor, 27, was the No. 3 wide receiver with the Vikings behind superstar Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. So, may scouts think he will flourish in Las Vegas where he will be a bigger focal of the offense and that’s why the Raiders gave him a three-year, $35 million deal with $23 million in guaranteed money.

Nailor can be a game breaker. He led the Big Ten Conference with a 19.8 yard catch average in 2020 and was second with 18.8 yards average in 2021. He has averaged 15.4 yards per catch in the NFL.

Nailor is from las Vegas where he was a star player at Bishop Gorman High school where he was teammates with Raiders” injured cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly. Returning to Las Vegas was draw for Nailor in free agency.

Nailor was far from a sure-thing draft prospect. The Vikings took him in the sixth round out of Michigan State in 2022 and he has built himself into a solidly-paid key player for his hometown squad.
