Leonard Fournette didn’t hold back. The former running back, drafted fourth overall in 2017 by the Jacksonville Jaguars and later a Super Bowl champion, went directly after sports analyst Emmanuel Acho on Sunday, challenging his standing to publicly talk down to NFL players.
The confrontation followed dismissive comments Acho made about Fournette and former pro receiver Jarvis Landry, questioning their football credentials. Fournette responded on “4th and South,” the podcast both men recently launched through The Volume network.
NFL reporter Dov Kleiman posted the clip on X Sunday.
On the podcast, Fournette was direct: “Out of any NFL analyst they have, he has the weakest resume. Emmanuel was A**.”
The exchange started after Acho publicly questioned whether Fournette and Landry had the football résumés to be commenting on NFL matters. In a clip shared on X by @JaKiTruth, Acho said of Fournette: “I don’t know enough about him to know his name. To my knowledge they don’t have any OPOY. They don’t have any first team All Pros.”

Acho spent years as a television host at FS1, co-hosting “Speak” and later “The Facility.” Both programs were canceled in July 2025 following low ratings.
The show launched on March 11, with Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook as the presenting sponsor. Both men described it as a space for honest football conversations, with no subject ruled off-limits.
Holy Sh*t: The legendary Leonard Fournette goes OFF on Emmanuel Acho for talking trash while being a BENCH player.

Landry, a five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, led the NFL in receptions in 2017 while with the Miami Dolphins, then played for the Browns and Saints across nine seasons.
Fournette won Super Bowl LV in February 2021 alongside Tom Brady in Tampa Bay’s 31-9 win over Kansas City, rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
Acho’s playing career was brief and limited. A sixth-round pick by Cleveland in 2012, he spent his rookie year on injured reserve. Traded to Philadelphia, he finished with 20 career games and 22 solo tackles.
The contrast between the two sides of this exchange is hard to overlook. Fournette and Landry combined for over 16 seasons in the NFL. Acho’s playing career lasted three.
Fournette isn’t holding back on the show generally. He has been outspoken since launch, with takes on coaching decisions, free agency moves, and now a direct challenge to a media personality.
This month, he also took aim at former Browns coach Kevin Stefanski over the handling of quarterback Shedeur Sanders, saying Stefanski’s coaching resume “is not good at all.”
