Raiders trade candidate could receive interest from Cowboys, Eagles and Bears

Despite a recent failed trade with the Baltimore Ravens, Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders is still viewed as a trade candidate by one analyst.

That analyst is Pro Football Focus' John Kosko, who labeled Crosby as Las Vegas' most valuable trade asset, which goes without saying.

Of course, Crosby was nearly traded earlier this month, but the Ravens decided to pull out of the deal at the last second due to a failed physical — or so they say that was the reason, but just about everyone has their doubts.

But we digress...

Here's what Kosko had to say about Crosby:

Crosby is so good that he could net the Raiders two first-round picks.

In fact, the Raiders appeared set to do exactly that, with a deal in place to send their most valuable veteran asset — pass rusher Maxx Crosby — to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for that type of haul. Instead, the trade collapsed at the eleventh hour, reportedly due to concerns surrounding Crosby’s physical.

His value is easy to understand. Over the past four seasons, Crosby has accounted for 33% of the Raiders’ total sacks and 27% of their pressures. Even with a slight dip in production by his standards over the past two years, he still recorded twice as many sacks as the next closest defender, Tyree Wilson.

Crosby is a very good player at a hugely valuable position and we do not believe his failed physical will scare teams off.

That said, it remains to be seen if the Raiders will still trade him.

Will Raiders trade Crosby again?

Las Vegas didn't really want to trade Crosby in the first place, which is why its asking price was so high, and Crosby has since re-committed to the Raiders following the nixed trade with Baltimore.

While that would suggest Crosby has zero chance of going anywhere, Vincent Bonsignore of the New York Post reported the Raiders are still open to a trade.

However, they are going to hold firm on their asking price of two first-round selections because they aren't desperate to trade Crosby, Bonsignore adds.

We believe Crosby won't be available for trade right now, but all bets are off at the trade deadline if the Raiders stink again.

Cowboys, Eagles, Bears could trade for Crosby

Three teams that could have interest in a Crosby trade, whether that be now or at some point during the season, are the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys added Rashan Gary in a trade with the Green Bay Packers, but he's the only significant move Dallas has made at edge rusher and Gary is hardly a reliable player after his disappearing act in the second half of last season.

Dallas was rumored to be a finalist for Crosby, but their offer wasn't good enough as compared to the Ravens'. It's not crazy to think Jerry Jones could get involved again.

The Eagles are in a real bad way along the edge. We still do notknow if Brandon Graham is coming back and Jaelan Phillips has left in free agency.

Chicago has the best situation of these three teams thanks to the presence of Montez Sweat, but the Bears still need more firepower opposite him.
