The Cleveland Browns have been one of those franchises that never seems to get the quarterback position right. Cleveland started three different quarterbacks a season ago when they had a 5-12 record. Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Joe Flacco all started games for the Browns. Deshaun Watson did not play a game for them last season and there is a chance that he could be the starter in 2026.

The Browns have the sixth and 24th overall picks in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. There is a slim chance that Cleveland will use one of those two selections on a quarterback this season. They will most likely address the offensive line and wide receiver in those sports. Will the Browns wait until the 2027 NFL Draft to address the quarterback situation?
ESPN Cleveland Radio Analyst Believes That the Cleveland Browns are Interested in QB Arch Manning In the 2027 NFL Draft

Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland Radio was talking about if the Browns are potentially interested in drafting Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning in the 2027 NFL Draft. Grossi said, “Absolutely, yep,” There is no doubt that owner Jimmy Haslam would love to potentially have a chance to draft Manning in 2027. There was a lot of hype about him entering the draft in 2026 before the 2025 college football season started.
Manning is 6’4″ and weighs 219 lbs. During the 2025 college football season with Texas, he completed 61.4% of his passes for 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Manning also rushed for 399 yards on 92 carries and 10 touchdowns, along with averaging 4.3 yards per carry. It will be interesting to see if he will even be worth a first-round selection in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Another thing to watch for will be, will the Browns be a bad team once again in 2026? If Manning is very good and if Cleveland is bad again like usual, then there could be a chance that the Browns could draft him in 2027. It is all going to depend upon what happens throughout the next calendar year before this could potentially happen here.
