Seahawks bring back popular wide receiver

The Seahawks will continue to have #MoreBobo after all.

Three days after learning the Jacksonville Jaguars had signed him to an offer sheet, the Seahawks decided to match it and will keep the popular player in town for two more seasons, a source confirmed to The Seattle Times on Monday.

The Jaguars signed Bobo to a two-year offer sheet worth $5.5 million and up to $7 million overall with $4.5 million guaranteed.

That came after Seattle had given Bobo a right of first refusal tender that would have paid him $3.52 million for the 2026 season. That allowed Seattle to match the offer but without getting any draft pick compensation had they not matched it and Bobo went on.

That contract, however, was not guaranteed.

The contract will match a hefty raise from the $1.0300 million Bobo made in 2025 when injuries limited him to 11 games and two catches. He had another two catches — one for a 17-yard TD in the NFC Championship Game win over the Rams — in the postseason.

The news on Bobo broke a few hours after it was learned the Seahawks had agreed to terms on a new contract making Jaxon Smith-Njigba the highest-paid receiver in NFL history.

Now with Bobo in the fold — and Seattle also having re-signed Rashid Shaheed earlier this month — the Seahawks have kept their receiving room almost virtually intact, losing only Dareke Young of those who played last season (Young signed with the Las Vegas Raiders).
