Second year scholar Sam Chapman is set to make his debut for Arsenal U21s away to Sunderland tonight.
Arsenal are without a host of players due to international duty, with defender Chapman set to be part of a defence that also includes Seb Ferdinand (who captains the side), Abraham Owusu-Gyasi and Josh Ogunnaike.
Chapman was previously an unused substitute for the U21s against Fulham last season.
Remy Mitchell starts in goal, with no substitute goalkeeper named on the bench.
There is a chance for first year Maalik Hashi, while schoolboy Mishel Nduka has been named amongst the substitutes.
Midfielder Teshaun Murisa, who is also on the bench, has received his first callup in Premier League 2.
The following players are all on international duty: Khari Ranson, Jack Porter, Demiane Agustien, Marli Salmon, Ceadach O’Neill, Brayden Clarke.
Jaden Dixon is also absent after going off injured in the last game.
