The Toronto Raptors are out in Salt Lake City, gearing up for a Monday night matchup against the Utah Jazz on March 23.

Ahead of the game, the Raptors made a roster move, adding a former top pick in the NBA.

Markelle Fultz is set to suit up for the Raptors, as the team gears up for its final few-week stretch of the season. Fultz will get an opportunity to showcase himself for the Raptors after he spent some time in the NBA G League.

Heading into the Utah game, the Raptors are holding a 39-31 record.

In the Eastern Conference, the Raptors are the fifth seed with a 39-31 record. They have lost two games in a row, and have gone 4-6 over their past 10 games.

The Atlanta Hawks are trailing Toronto by just 0.5 games, with the Philadelphia 76ers right there, holding a 39-32 record as well. Meanwhile, the fourth-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers have a 4.5-game lead over Toronto.

Fultz joins the Raptors with plenty of experience. The veteran guard entered the NBA out of Washington in 2017. He was the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, selected by the Philadelphia 76ers.

After two disappointing seasons with the Sixers, Fultz was traded to the Orlando Magic during the 2018-2019 season. He played five seasons for the Magic.

Last year, Fultz had a 21-game run with the Sacramento Kings. The veteran guard produced 2.9 points per game, along with 1.3 rebounds per game.

On March 6, Fultz joined the Raptors 905 in the G League. After appearing in five games, Fultz will get 10 days with the Raptors at the NBA level.
