The Robins fought hard to beat Blues 1-0 in Saturday’s National League clash.

And Gibson was pleased with the way Altrincham defended.
“Hutch (Luke Hutchinson) was fantastic in goal and I thought the back five were really good too, but I don’t think Hutch made any saves I wouldn’t expect him to make,” Gibson told the club's YouTube channel.
“I thought we limited their opportunities to opportunities we were comfortable with and when we needed someone to step up and put their body on the line they did it.”
That defending saw the Shrimpers head home empty handed.
And Gibson was happy with all aspects of the Robins’ performance.
“I thought the players were excellent to a man,” he said.
“We worked on a game plan against a Southend side who are pushing for the play-offs and are a very strong team.
“Their recent results against Carlisle, Forest Green and Rochdale prove the level of the team we were up against so if we didn’t do a lot of things well and if we hadn’t have committed to the game plan we wouldn’t have got the three points.”
