Travis Kelce Signs New 3-Year Contract Extension with Kansas City Chiefs

Travis Kelce is officially returning to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The star tight end has signed a three-year contract extension with the team, keeping him in Kansas City through the 2026 NFL season.

According to details of the agreement, the deal has a maximum value of $57.735 million, with an average annual value of just under $19.25 million, reports USA Today.

If Travis reaches the full value of the contract, the extension would make him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL by average annual salary, narrowly surpassing the previous record held by George Kittle.

However, the structure of the contract could make the long-term commitment less certain. The deal reportedly includes $12 million in guaranteed money, plus up to $3 million in incentives for the 2026 season. But because it’s backloaded, future payouts will depend on how the agreement unfolds over time, meaning he could earn significantly less.

His “deal may look like an expensive, three-year pact, but the lower-level guarantees within it could essentially render it a one-year deal,” notes the outlet.

Travis continues to be one of the league’s most productive tight ends. He recorded 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns during the 2025 season, adding to a career that includes seven 1,000-yard seasons.

The NFL star has also posted at least 823 receiving yards every season since 2014, highlighting his impressive consistency.

Travis recently spent a weekend out with fiancee Taylor Swift in Los Angeles to attend post-Oscars parties.
