The Kansas City Chiefs have had themselves a good free agency period with the front office under no illusions as to what the roster needed.
The Chiefs fixed the running back issue, but then lost starting corners in Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie; they did get good draft capital in return, though.
So as we turn for the NFL draft, the Chiefs have a need and the picks to fill it, but there is still nearly a month left for Kansas City to potentially look at free agents.
And for CBS Sports' Zachary Pereles, he thinks former Chief L'Jarius Sneed could be an option.
"The Chiefs traded away Trent McDuffie and lost Jaylen Watson and Joshua Williams in free agency," Pereles wrote. "If the season started today, there's no telling who would play cornerback for Kansas City. Perhaps a reunion with Sneed, who struggled with injuries in Tennessee, is in the offing. The Chiefs also have the ninth and 29th picks and have had major success drafting cornerbacks in recent years."

Could Chiefs look to Sneed?
They could, but with Sneed's injury issues last season, coupled with his age (29), the Chiefs might opt to look for a corner in the upcoming draft.
If the Chiefs sign Sneed to be a backup/rotational player, then sure, as he would likely be on a cheap contract, but I'm not sure Kansas City can have him as a starter. At least initially.
The draft capital at the Chiefs' disposal will likely see them take a corner, and one who can slot in and start Day 1.
Yes, Sneed is an interesting option, but at this stage of their roster overhaul, I don't think an aging corner coming off injuries is a good bet.
