The Las Vegas Raiders still have a huge need at cornerback, even with the team retaining Eric Stokes, and Miami prospect Keionte Scott could be the solution.
According to Pro Football Focus, corner is one of the Raiders’ top three needs heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, along with defensive line and offensive guard.
While the defensive line is a bigger need, corner could still use some work. Stokes and Darien Porter are the two main CBs on the roster, and outside of them, that’s where things start to get shaky.
Keionte Scott Just Skyrocketed Up the Raiders’ Potential Draft Board
Scott, who had one of the most productive seasons by any corner last year with two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns), five sacks, 13 tackles for loss, and 64 total tackles, balled out during his Pro Day on March 23rd.
“A lot of NFL scout buzz today on Miami CB Keionte Scott who put on a Pro Day show,” NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe tweeted out. A top-50 draft prospect according to NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiath, Scott posted the following numbers during his Pro Day:
10’3″ broad jump
34 inch vertical jump
1.57 10-yard split
“3 scouts had him listed as 4.33 40-yard dash with few others between 4.35-4.38,” Wolfe added.
NFL draft analyst Ryan Fowler also had this to say regarding Scott:
“A reminder of what he did in the CFP (131 coverage snaps):
• 14 catches allowed on 18 targets
• 35 yds v Texas A&M (8 tgts)
• 25 yds v Ohio State (3 tgts)
• 42 yds v Ole Miss (5 tgts)
• 22 yds v Indiana (2 tgts)
Big time ballplayer.📈
”
Scott, who Bleacher Report had a fourth-round draft projection, likely just skyrocketed up team’s draft boards, including the Raiders.
Scott Comments on Breakout Season, Message to NFL Teams
Scott joined NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Judy Battista and shared his thoughts on having a breakout season.
“It speaks to defensive coordinator, what coach [Corey] Hetherman was trying to do, and to the players on the team. Everybody buying in at the same time at the right time. I felt like it was just a meshing thing and just playing with fire behind me. Playing with something to prove.”
Despite having a terrific Pro Day and having the statistics to back up his play, Scott is an older prospect. He’ll be 25 as a rookie, and Battista asked him what his message was to NFL teams as an older prospect.
“I feel like this game we play is a win-now game. I think, at the end of the day, I feel like I pride myself on being ready to buy into fully what that club is trying to do. Fully commit to helping that club do whatever it takes to win. You look at it like, ‘You’re getting a mature guy.’ A guy that not’s gonna come in and have to do through the bumps and roads. Obviously there’ll be some, but a guy that can go in and gel right in. A guy that’s not gonna sit in the back. A guy that’s gonna jump out in front. I feel like now with the game the way things are progressing and the way teams want to improve I feel like I’m a guy who can come in and help teams do that.”

Miami CB Keionte Scott, who showed out at his pro day today with a 40 in the low- to mid 4.3s, is an impressive prospect. Athleticism on top of his football IQ, which he put on display for @judybattista and me on The Insiders earlier this month.
Scott will be a CB prospect to keep an eye on for the Raiders. Especially since he’s a player who could be an instant-impact addition on the new-look defense in Las Vegas.
