**Chelsea centre-back Benoit Badiashile was absent from the matchday squad for the 3-0 defeat to Everton at the weekend.**

The defender was unavailable after picking up a virus in the days before the Blues made the trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Due to the international break, Badiashile is expected to be back in contention for the next fixture.

As it is a FA Cup tie against lower league opponents, there is a chance that head coach Liam Rosenior will choose to start him if he is ready.

**Expected Return Date – Saturday 4th April vs Port Vale (h)**

Trevoh Chalobah

---------------

The 26-year-old injured his ankle during the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain last week.

It was initially suggested that Chalobah would be out for a lengthy period, but Rosenior believes he could be back in contention by early May:

“Fortunately, it’s nowhere near as serious as we first feared. It’s still a serious injury, but we’re looking at a period of maybe six weeks, which is disappointing.”

“But from where we were a couple of days ago, we are in a better place than what we thought.”

**Expected Return Date – May**
