Despite witnessing his and the Lakers' nine-game win streak being snapped by the Detroit Pistons on Monday, the Slovenian superstar still put on a show that allowed him to earn historic achievements.
In 39 minutes of the 113-110 losing effort in Detroit, Doncic went off for 32 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.
He became the fastest player in Lakers history to reach 2,000 points in a single season since the late great Kobe Bryant back in 2005-06.
By dropping 32 points against Detroit, Doncic tallied his NBA-leading 41st 30-point game of the season, the ninth-most in a season in the franchise's history (per Lakers).
And by making his fifth shot during the game, he reached 5,000 career field goals. At 27 years, 23 days old, he becomes the seventh-fastest player in NBA history to reach the mark (via SI's Ryan Ward).
