Cooper Flagg Sends Message After Warriors Player's Devastating Injury

The Golden State Warriors overcame a 15-point deficit to beat the Dallas Mavericks 137-131 in overtime on Monday, but the win was overshadowed by a serious late-game injury.

Moses Moody was back on the court for the first time after missing 10 straight games with a sprained right wrist. But his left knee buckled when he jumped for a clear rim attack after stealing the ball from Cooper Flagg. He collapsed right away, and the crowd at American Airlines Center went absolutely silent.

After the game, the 23-year-old guard left the training room on crutches with a heavy knee brace. Steve Kerr confirmed that Moody had X-rays but didn't yet have a specific diagnosis. However, the coach confirmed that his injury looked very serious. He had scored 23 points before the injury.

Following the game, Flagg somberly reacted to Moody's non-contact knee injury, saying, "I couldn't really tell. His leg kinda gave out. But it's tough.. I'm praying for him and whatever he's gonna go through, it's terrible. But yeah, just praying for him."

The rookie guard finished with a game-high 32 points and nine assists but also committed seven turnovers, including three during a critical Warriors run in the fourth quarter.

Former Warrior Klay Thompson scored 15 points off the bench, hitting five 3-pointers against his old team. But it wasn't enough as Dallas has now gone 4-23 since its last win streak and set a franchise record with 12 straight home losses at the American Airlines Center.

The victory improves Golden State's record to 34-38 with 10 games left, keeping them in 10th place in the West. Meanwhile, the Mavs are scheduled to play next on Wednesday.
