How much is Jayson Tatum to being himself? (Topic Tuesday)

Only Jayson Tatum can truly know how close he is to being full speed, and even he might not know for sure. So I admit off the top that this is a silly topic. However, we’ve been given an 8 game sample size to work with and I thought I’d take a pulse of fans to see where they think he is at.

For the sake of making this more fun, please provide a percentage number of where you think he’s at. So in this scale 0% is where he was right after surgery and 100% is where he was in the playoffs before the injury (and even there he was probably dinged up with wear and tear and minor injuries).

I would have been content with a 50% Tatum, because that guy can still stretch the floor, make good reads, and occasionally keep defenses honest.

Personally I think he’s been somewhere north of 75% Tatum in most of the games he’s played thus far, which is amazing. Considering that he’s a top 5 player in the league when 100%, a 75% version is probably a borderline All Star.

He’s currently averaging 19.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, which is down from his career averages (except rebounding) but also has a lot to do with the minutes restriction he’s been playing under.

So where do you think he’s at right now? 80%? 90%? 86.08%?

Feel free to elaborate and provide context for how you came up with your number. There are no wrong answers.
