Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss glances over toward members of the press during the hearing of his lawsuit against the NCAA at Calhoun County Courthouse in Pittsboro, Miss., on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026. Chambliss is looking for a temporary injunction and a permanent injunction against the NCAA for one more year of eligibility.

He is 6’1″ and weighs 200 lbs. During the 2025 college football season with the Rebels, he completed 66.1% of his passes for 3,937 yards, 22 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Chambliss also rushed for 527 yards on 133 carries and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 4.0 yards per carry. Joel Klatt of FOX Sports Believes Ole Miss Rebels QB Trinidad Chambliss Is a Future First-Round NFL Draft Pick

Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss enters the courtroom during his lawsuit against the NCAA at Calhoun County Courthouse in Pittsboro, Miss., on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026. Chambliss is looking for a temporary injunction and a permanent injunction against the NCAA for one more year of eligibility.

There is a chance that Chambliss may have to be in the 2026 NFL Draft because he may not be eligible to return to Ole Miss. If that’s the case, then there is a case for him to be a first-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. Joel Klatt of FOX Sports thinks that Chambliss could be drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers 21st overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Klatt said,

“Is anyone else tired of waiting around for Aaron Rodgers? I’m sure the Steelers are. Don’t you want a longterm situation at quarterback? I love Chambliss and his mentality and leadership. In the face of adversity with Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss right before the College Football Playoff, Chambliss played so well. He’s just scratching the surface of his potential. Remember, he transferred to Ole Miss last season after spending time at Ferris State. If he has another year like he did a year ago, his draft stock will only continue to rise.”

There is no doubt a lot of questions about Aaron Rodgers’s future with the Steelers. If the 42-year-old does retire, then Pittsburgh is going to have to scramble to find a quarterback in 2026. Will Howard is currently on the Steelers roster. If Chambliss cannot return to Ole Miss, the Steelers could be a potential good fit for him in the 2026 NFL Draft.
