The [Chicago Bears](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/chicago-bears) entered the offseason with a clear need in their secondary, and accomplished improving it over the first few weeks.
However, after making an impressive move in free agency by signing Coby Bryant, the Bears still have work to do. Whether that comes in the NFL Draft, via free agency, or a trade, the Bears could look to add someone.
Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports predicted Chicago would find its solution at No. 25 in this upcoming draft, projecting the team to select Toledo standout Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.
“Coby Bryant was a big addition in free agency, but after losing both Kevin Byard III and Jaquan Brisker, the Bears still need to fill one more safety spot in their starting lineup.
“This would be an ideal scenario in that regard, as McNeil-Warren could easily be a top-20 pick with his combination of size, range, and playmaking ability. He’s a hard-hitting presence on the back end, and would be a fantastic blend of need and value for Chicago,” he [wrote](https://athlonsports.com/nfl/nfl-mock-draft-2026-predictions-nfl-free-agency-trades-latest-news).
McNeil-Warren has flown under the radar a tad in this draft process, potentially due to playing at Toledo, but he’s a very good player and should find success in the NFL.
For Chicago, the draft can go a few different ways. The Bears are coming off a great first season under Ben Johnson and are in a good position to land a very good player in the first round, whether it’s McNeil-Warren or someone else.
