Arsenal have announced they’ll play a pre-season game in Dublin this summer, with Real Betis the opposition.
The Gunners will face the Spanish side, current home of one Hector Bellerin, at the Aviva Stadium on August 5th, with a kick-off time of 7.30pm.
It’s a first return to Ireland after six years, when we played Chelsea at the same venue in August 2018. I was there, I can’t remember the score though.
Let me look it up. One sec.
Turns out it was a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes, before the game was decided by penalty shoot-out with we won 6-5 – Ruben Loftus-Cheek missing for Chelsea after Lacazette, Nelson, Guendouzi, Maitland-Niles, Ozil and Iwobi made no mistake from the spot.

We might also see if we can cobble together a live Arsecast Extra which would be much handier for me than the other ones because I can probably just walk home at the end of the night.
See you for a summer Guinness. Or Beamish. Or Scraggy Bay. Or any other drink. We have all the drinks here.
