Chelsea keen on AC Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic
Chelsea could see Pavlovic as someone to bolster their defensive department. If he joined, he would give them more competition and depth at the back. At the age of 24, he has potential to develop in the future.
The Serbia international, who has 52 caps to his name, has been with AC Milan since joining them in 2024. He has since made 64 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants, 30 of which have come this season, and he has chipped in with six goals. However, his long-term future in Italy is up in the air now amid attention from Stamford Bridge.
Pavlovic rose up through the ranks at Partizan before AS Monaco came calling. He then spent two years with the Ligue 1 club, some of which he spent away on loan at Cercle Brugge and FC Basil to boost his development. Red Bull Salzburg subsequently signed him on a permanent basis before his transfer to San Siro.
Regarding Rosenior’s future at Chelsea, reporter Nizaar Kinsella has shared this update, as per BBC Sport: “There is no suggestion inside Chelsea that Rosenior, who succeeded Enzo Maresca in January when he joined from partner club Strasbourg, is in danger of losing his job, either now or at the end of the season.
“There is an understanding that he took over mid‑season from Maresca, who walked away following a falling-out with the hierarchy, when the club had hoped the Italian would remain until at least the summer. Such is the strength of support for Rosenior - who is under contract until 2032 - that he has been heavily involved in regular transfer planning meetings with sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.”
