Longtime Baltimore Ravens quarterback, the one who led the team to its second title in Super Bowl XLVII, is set to suit up for a 19th season. Joe Flacco, most recently with the Cincinnati Bengals, fresh off his first-ever Pro Bowl, has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of the 2026 season.

Last year, Flacco started off the season with the Cleveland Browns as the team’s starting quarterback. He started the first four games of the year before his benching. In those four games, the Browns went 1-3 (with a loss to the Bengals in Week 1), and Flacco struggled. Just days after his benching, Flacco was traded from the Browns to the Bengals to give the offense a jolt with Joe Burrow’s injury and Jake Browning’s struggles. He went on to start six games for Cincinnati, but the Bengals went 1-5 in those starts. Despite that, he was solid, passing for 1,636 yards and 13 touchdowns, including his first-career 470-yard, four-touchdown game. All in all, he was rewarded with his first-ever Pro Bowl nod.
Prior to the 2025 season, Flacco played his first 11 seasons with the Ravens. In that time, he led the team to the playoffs six times, capped off by that Super Bowl XLVII win over the San Francisco 49ers. He threw for 38,245 yards and 212 touchdowns while completing 61.7% of his passes. He owns the franchise records across the board (if you want to include the old Browns, he’s easily atop those standings as well).
Then, in 2019, Flacco moved on to the Denver Broncos. That year, Flacco started eight games, went 2-6, and threw for 1,822 yards and six touchdowns.
Following that, he spent the next three seasons with the New York Jets, starting nine games. In those nine games, the Jets went 1-8, and Flacco threw for 2,253 yards and 14 touchdowns. In 2023, Flacco took over the Browns for five games and actually led the team to a 4-1 record and a playoff berth. The Browns lost that game against the Houston Texans, but Flacco threw for over 300 yards in a playoff game for the third time in his career.
Finally, Flacco took over the Indianapolis Colts for the 2024 season, starting six games.
In total, Flacco’s 48,176 passing yards are good for the third most among active quarterbacks and 14th all-time. In terms of touchdowns, his 272 ranks fifth among active quarterbacks and 21st all-time.
