SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame hosted its annual pro day Tuesday, with 16 former players working out for NFL scouts.
Running back Jadarian Price and wide receiver Malachi Fields participated in the event. Both are expected to be drafted in the first two rounds. Quarterback CJ Carr, who is returning to Notre Dame, threw to the receivers during the workout.
Running back Jeremiyah Love did not participate. Love is ranked as one of the best players in the draft by most outlets. With Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza all but a lock for the number one pick, Love is expected to be a top 10 selection in April.
“The draft process has been great. I met with the Titans, I met with the Giants. Both two great organizations and great coaching staffs as well,” Love said. “My goal going into all these visits has just been to learn as much as I can. Learn what kind of scheme they run. Learn how I fit into the schemes and get to know them more as people.”
Love said he has focused on building connections during team visits.
“At the end of the day when football is over everything is about connections. Everything is about the people you met along the way,” Love said. “So I’ve just been going on these trips and going on these visits meeting people, having good conversations, and setting a good representation of myself and also Notre Dame.”
