Mike Tomlin Makes Decision on Football Future After Steelers Exit

After stepping down from the Pittsburgh Steelers as their head coach before his 20th season with the team, everyone wants to know what’s next for Mike Tomlin.

The legendary Super Bowl-winning head coach could have had his pick of teams if he decided to look for a change of scenery after leaving Pittsburgh, but he decided that this year’s cycle was one he wanted to sit out.

Although Tomlin may return to the world of coaching in the coming years, his latest move shows that he knows what he wants to do next in the second half of his professional life.

Per NFL insider Ari Meirov, Tomlin has hired sports media agents as he prepares to move into broadcasting.

Although he hasn’t been directly connected to a specific broadcast yet, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, and streamers like Netflix and Amazon Prime are all expected to speak with the former Steelers head man.

Although it will be a shift in what he does as a career, it’s not a shock move for Tomlin. Even before he stepped down as Steelers head coach, there were rumblings that broadcasters were hungry to lure him away from head coaching in a pundit and commentator role.
