49ers bring back RB Patrick Taylor Jr.

The San Francisco 49ers continue to make additions — or, in this case, retentions — to their roster heading into a new season, adding depth and experience in the trenches while maintaining continuity in the backfield.

In a pair of moves announced today, the 49ers signed offensive lineman Robert Jones and re-signed running back Patrick Taylor Jr., both to one-year deals.

Jones brings versatility and starting experience to the 49ers’ offensive line after spending time with the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys. With nearly 50 career games played and multiple starts under his belt, the 27-year-old provides a dependable option as the 49ers look to reinforce protection and depth up front.

Meanwhile, the 49ers retain a familiar presence in Taylor Jr., who returns after contributing in both the running game and on special teams. His experience within the system and ability to provide rotational depth give San Francisco added stability as they continue shaping their roster ahead of the upcoming campaign.
